How To Warm Once Upon a Farm Blends

Whether it’s winter and your little one is wanting something warm or you have a picky eater on your hands, you may want to serve your baby’s food warm for some meals. Not to fear. Even though we’re cold-pressed and kept in the fridge, warming our organic blends is easy.

How To Warm Up Our Blends

To warm up your little one’s food, simply place the pouch, cup or bowl in a bowl of warm water for a few minutes. Remove the pouch, cup or bowl and be sure to shake or stir it well and always test the food to make sure it is temperature appropriate before feeding it to your baby. We also recommend serving warmed food from a bowl with a spoon to prevent any hot spots.

If your baby isn’t ready to eat an entire pouch, cup or bowl of food yet, you can just warm up a portion of the food. Pour the desired amount into a bowl then place that bowl into a slightly larger bowl of warm water. After a few minutes, your food will be warm and ready to serve (don’t forget to stir well to ensure an even temperature). As for the unused portion of food, you can save it in the fridge for up to three days.

Why not just zap it, you ask? Our pouches are not microwavable and it may also heat the food unevenly creating “hot spots” just like breastmilk or formula would if heated directly by a microwave.

We hope these simple steps will help when your little one wants a warmer option!
